About House Inspections
House Inspections Ltd was established in 1986 and in that time it has delivered comprehensive builders reports to thousands of customers. It’s current owner is John Dedden.
John is a trade qualified builder with nearly 20 years experience in the building industry and holds a NZ National Certificate. He supervised a number of construction projects in the UK and worked on some impressive buildings including a prince's palace, a high end department store and a multi-million dollar home in Knightsbridge. On his return to New Zealand John formed his own building company.
Having built homes from scratch, John was regularly asked to write up builders reports for friends and friends-of-friends looking to buy. Helping people find a sound and stable investment and making sure they were aware of any hidden issues soon became his passion. In 2009 he decided to make it his full-time focus and took over House Inspections Ltd at the start of the year.
John is the third owner of the company and has continued it’s in-depth reporting style and use of high-tech tools such as thermal imaging for moisture detection.
